Treatment plans

Treatment plans in minutes

Much of today’s dental software still relies on old screens and disconnected codes. ODental adds a modern interaction layer: select a tooth, choose the treatment and build the plan in a few focused actions. The total updates as you go. Made for the clinician and for the treatment-plan coordinator who walks the patient through it.

Treatment plans

A modern planning workflow for the next generation of dental teams

What goes wrong today

Much classic practice software is built around disconnected codes, fixed screens and steps from another era. A large plan therefore takes too many clicks and too much checking, while the patient mainly wants to understand what will happen. ODental modernises that daily moment: from selecting a tooth to building the treatment plan, without losing the logic of the conversation.

What it does differently

  • The interaction we are building — Select teeth quickly and right-drag upward to mark them as extractions. Switch to plan mode, select multiple teeth with Shift, the mouse or individual clicks, then right-drag to the right to add a bridge automatically. After a few mouse movements, most of the plan is ready for a final check.
  • Plan on the X-ray itself — The image is numbered and you click directly on which tooth gets a crown, filling, extraction or implant. What you point at is what ends up in the plan.
  • Open it where you are, without an extra licence — The plan lives in the browser, not on one fixed PC. A coordinator looking at it from home or a dentist pulling it up chairside does not cost another workstation — and the associated X-ray sits alongside the plan.
  • A tooth chart that keeps up — Next to the image sits the chart with FDI numbering. Current situation and proposed plan are two views of the same picture, so the patient sees the difference at a glance.
  • All-in pricing or UPT + lab costs — One switch. A regular practice works with UPT tariffs and lab costs; an all-in clinic puts treatment prices in. Neither means rebuilding the plan. UPT is the Dutch tariff-code system; every country has its own code list and lab items, which can be configured on request.
  • Built from a real practice problem — When a plan is assembled across Word, a price list and a calculator, a transcription error is easy to make. Here, the plan takes shape while the dentist thinks out loud and points at the X-ray.
  • For the coordinator too, not just the dentist — Whoever discusses the plan with the patient can adjust and print it themselves, without pulling the clinician in for every change.
  • Ready for a new generation of teams — Assistants and dentists used to clear, fast interfaces get a treatment plan that matches the way they work — without extra layers between looking, choosing and recording.
  • A printout the patient understands — Stripped back to what the patient actually wants to know: which phases, what to expect and what it costs. Not a hundred codes to get lost in — those belong in the bookkeeping, not in the conversation at the table.

In beta — which is exactly the moment worth joining

All three systems work; they are simply not running at dozens of practices yet. That is where your advantage sits: as one of the first, you shape the setup around how you work, get support straight from the person who built it, and agree clear pilot terms up front. What you tell us shapes what we build next.
