In plain language
R31 describes a core build-up that forms part of crown treatment.
This line covers a restorative-material core build-up between preparation and placement of a crown. It makes that part of crown treatment readable on its own.
What is included?
- The restorative-material core build-up, including etching, lining and finishing.
- The restorative material used for the crown between preparation and crown placement.
What remains a separate line?
- A root post is not part of R31; the NZa lists V80 or V85 as separate performances.
- The crown itself has its own performance, for example R24 for a crown on a natural tooth.
Useful when reading an invoice
- See R31 as a build-up step, not as another name for the crown.
- A clear overview shows R31 and the crown line next to each other, rather than hiding the build-up in one total.
